Project Description
The Brief
The app was required by our client, the Clinical Haematology dept at Heartlands NHS Trust in Birmingham. The proposal was to kick start with the first phase of an app that will facilitate the referrals to Haematology, Heartlands Hospital from doctors of other disciplines. The purpose of the App during this phase was narrowed to reduce the number of wrong referrals to Clinical Haematology ward.
Centric has developed such apps for other disciplines e.g. OMFS Handbook for Oxford University Hospitals Trust and Ophthalmology Handbook for Heartlands Trust. After initial adoption and feedback from the users, the app is conceived to evolve with additional protocols, induction guides and any other material as required by the client in further phases.

The Solution
The app was designed and developed from the ground up as a Hybrid app using Ionic platform. Firstly a neat and easy to use UI was finalised for it. Centric also designed the logo for the app. The app was developed with user friendly interface and eye catching graphics. Currently the data resides on the app and thus it is available offline too. The App contains about 8 protocols in the first phase.
